Lily is a precious 8 year old Doxen/Chi mix who was surrendered to a kill shelter in TN. She has a congenital defect with her front leg. We paid for some of her vetting prior to her arrival, which came to $50. When she arrived we took her to Seneca animal hospital to have her leg checked to see if it may possibly benefit her to have the leg amputated. Dr. Eisenhard evaluated Lily and stated that he saw no reason to amputate it being that she has lived with this condition for so long and it doesn't seem to be causing her any pain. The owner should of had it done it when she was younger, but they neglected to do that.

We also found out that she wasn't spayed, but Dr. Eisenhard did not recommend that she have surgery at this time due to her age and defect. We also had her heart worm tested which came back Negative. We were soo happy to get such good news. We had her treated for an upper respiratory infection which she had when she arrived. The Vet gave us a 10 day supply of Clavamox. Lily is feeling better and just got adopted today!!! What a Merry Christmas for Lily! She went from a home, to a kill shelter, to our no kill shelter, and is now to her FOREVER home. Thank you to her new mom who adopted an older special needs dog when nobody else would. Her fate at the kill shelter would have been death.

The Vet bill came to $110 from Seneca making it a total of $160. Please help us to continue to save special needs animals who need additional care, love, and vetting. We not only save the easily adoptable animals, but the difficult ones as well. Please tell Lily that her life was worth saving by donating today!!! She thanks you :)
